Baby Questionaire - Week 14

How far along? 14 weeks, 1 day.
Total weight gain: I've lost about 9 pounds since my last doctor's appointment... somewhat worrysome.
Maternity clothes? Grandma Hayes has purchased a few great pieces for me, and I've picked up a few things from garage sales.
Stretch marks? none yet
Sleep: Naps are my friend. I've been out of control tired on certain nights. Last Sunday at around 7pm, I felt like I had been hit by a Mack truck and couldn't even keep my eyes open!
Best moment this week: We had a great night out with our friends, Zach and Mel for Cinco De Mayo. It hit me during dinner that this would be our LAST Cinco De Mayo without our little WakeBaby! SO EXCITED!! It somewhat dulled the pain of not being able to celebrate this holiday with a Mojito ;)
Miss Anything? Everything in moderation! Sipped a little caffeine here and there, gave in to my intense cravings for lunch meat. The only thing I missed is a Mojito for Cinco De Mayo.
Movement:
None, yet.
Food cravings: Cravings have been a little less intense as of late. This has been great because I have been able to sneak a few more veggies into our dinner routine.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Raw meat grosses me out! That's all that's coming to mind right now.
Gender: Hubby and I are both still thinking girl. The EXTREMELY early 11 week sonographer said 95% accuracy... a boy. Either way, we will be happy! We'll find out in about 6 weeks.
Labor Signs: None.
Symptoms: Nauseous, dizzy, tired constantly.
Belly Button in or out? innie
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy but tired
Looking forward to: *Hopefully* closing on our new house on Friday! It will be the first house your daddy and I own together. AND it will be the house that is where your nursery will be :)

Daddy's Post: Week 14

Hello Little One!

You're not so little anymore - in fact, you're about the size of a rather large Meyer lemon!  Last week you were a peach, this week a lemon.  I'm thinking grapefruit next week!  Your rapidly growing size aside, you seem to be bothering your Momma less and less (knock on wood) the past two weeks!  She's been happier, less nauseous and more active.  She still has terrible moments of nausea and dizziness - which are sometimes brought on, unfortunately, by your truly - but overall things are looking up!

This could also be an exciting week in the Wakeman household because we are supposed to close on our house in McKinney on Friday!  That means, fingers crossed, that by the time we find out in Week 20 whether you will be a boy or girl, we will be living in our own home!  I know your Momma is VERY excited and anxious to get started on decorating and making the house ready for you, and your room in particular.  She has so many good ideas for how to decorate your room, and I can't wait to see how it turns out.  She's very creative and smart, and I can only hope you get those traits as well.

With your Momma feeling better, we've been able to go the dog park and out to dinner with some friends of ours.  They said they're very excited to meet you, and we are as well!  At this point, almost (if not all) of your systems are functioning, and now from here it's just downhill to the finish.  Between you and me, can you please go easy on your Momma during the next 3 months?  She deserves a little break to feel good in her own body again.  After all, she's carrying you around everywhere!  I can't imagine how that must feel, but we (and your Momma in particular) love you very much already!

We've also been able to go to some garage sales on the last two Saturdays - something with which you will become very familiar - and we've got some awesome stuff for you!  It's been two great weekends.  We got your stroller and car seat, a glider for us to rock you to sleep on, clothes, a swinging chair, a chest carrier, and lots of other good stuff!  We can't wait to share our world with you, and make you part of it.

Well, I've got to get back to work so I can spend as much time with you as possible the weeks after you're born.  I'm so excited. Only 26 more weeks!

I love you!

Your father,

Conor
